Anchor Bolts (Foundation bolts, hook bolts, anchor rods, concrete embeds)

Anchor Bolts

Also known as: Foundation bolts, hook bolts, Anchor rods, and concrete embeds.

Most commonly used for:

Kortick anchor bolts are most commonly used to attach pole line hardware to walls and anchor cable racks to manhole walls, and provide an inexpensive and easily installed hook unit for hanging wires or suspending brackets. When set up in cement, anchor bolts are often used in construction. Used appropriately, their strength makes them great for securing stairs, elevator tracks and when placed vertically they support the bases of light poles and traffic lights.

Bolts are fabricated to order from open hearth “bolt” steel. Threads conform to a class 2 fit. Equipped with regular cold punched square or hexagon nuts. Furnished black or hot dip galvanized. When ordering be sure to specify the style of bolt, type of nut, dimensions A, B, C, D, and E as noted on the cuts and whether black or galvanized. Other uses include masonry work, reinforcing for construction and more.

Features that make it fit this use better:

The anchor bolt’s bend allows the anchor, when set up in cement, to be securely in place.

Made with:

Most commonly made with open hearth “bolt” steel. They can be either black or galvanized for increased resistance to corrosion.

Standard measures and dimensions:

Diameter (A) is critical to the strength of the anchor. (B), the length of an Anchor bolt, is measured from the beginning of the first thread to the start of the bend (B). For 90 degree bent anchors, the measure from the non threaded end of the bolt to the start of the bend is labeled (C). Thread Length is listed as (D). A J bolt shares many of the same measures and is labeled below.
